The crack of a well struck drive snapped me out of my deep contaplation. Once the foursome left to play their second shots I jumped up to the first tee box and looked for and found an aiming point for tomorrow, which, of course, was on the right side of the fairway. At the 5th tee box you have to hit your tee shot past the “Hanging Tree”, a local historic mark, and yes, it’s a bit bleak, but it holds significant importance for the local community.
